Parts of Us – Performance and Workshop

Parts of Us is a multidisciplinary performance and workshop programme that invites young people to explore art, participation and connection through shared experiences. This is the second year of the project that is particularly aimed at young people with refugee backgrounds who arrived in Finland as minors and youth with immigrant background, while the performance and workshop are open to everyone interested.

The performance brings together different artistic forms and explores themes of identity, belonging, connection and what it means to be human. It offers a space to pause, observe and encounter others without the expectation that personal experiences need to be explained or put into words.

Following the performance, participants are invited to take part in a hands-on workshop where the themes of the performance are explored through artistic practice and shared creative activities. The workshop offers different ways to experiment, express oneself…
