Breaking is a physical and challenging style of dance with rich history. It is one of the original and first styles of Hip Hop culture emerging from Bronx, New York and has nowadays spread around the world creating a global community of respect, discipline, courage, peace, love and unity. Breaking has developed into widely recognized form of art and sport and it featured as an official Olympic sport for the first time in Paris 2024. This first class is for students in grades 1-2. The class is beginner level and teaches basics of this style. If you have danced breaking before you can also join the class after this even if you are slightly younger. Fridays 14.30-15.15 (45min) at Maatullin peruskoulu Maatullinkuja 8 Classes begin after autumn break 19.10. and continue until 17.12.2026. Spring season starts 14.1. and continues until 20.5.2027 Bring indoor shoes, comfortable clothes and a water bottle. (Shoes is a MUST in break dance as without shoes you might seriously hurt your toes, any type of sneakers will do). The class is part of Hyvän arjen rakentajat program and thus free of charge. If you decide to quit classes, please send us an email to info@justdancefinland.com Some classes have limited spaces and many interested dancers so we can give spots to everyone who want to dance.
